RAHIL RAWJI - FOUNDER & GENERAL PARTNER
Rahil is the founder of Cianna Capital, which he established in 2017 and has successfully managed since then - overseeing its investing activities, operations and strategic direction. He brings a wealth of experience in venture investing and helping founders build successful businesses.
He has a strong background in marketing and operations. He previously held the position of Director of Marketing/Operations at Marsavco SARL in Democratic Republic of Congo for 4 years where he was responsible for implementing effective marketing strategies and ensuring operational efficiency.
He also served as the Director of Marketing at My Kind of Entertainment in Boston, USA where he organized events for colleges, enriching the vibrant campus culture. He also contributed to the success of Chewy Vegas LLC in Boston, USA as the Director of Marketing overseeing promotions for entertainment events and driving brand awareness for merchandising products.
Rahil grew up in Pakistan, graduating from the American School in Karachi. He Holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University in Boston, USA. He further expanded his knowledge by studying at the College of Business, Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island, USA.
ASAD JAFRI -
CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER
Asad has almost a decade of experience working in the Private Equity & Venture Capital industry. His expertise lies primarily in portfolio strategy and construction, deal origination and pipeline building, new ventures evaluation and due diligence, business growth and efficient scaling, corporate governance and financial management of value-oriented businesses.
He oversees all investments at Cianna Capital. He was previously associated with an emerging markets focused Venture Capital fund as well as an impact-oriented Private Equity fund. Prior to that, he had spent several years in the financial sector on Wall St.
Fun fact - he has dabbled into several entrepreneurial ventures of his own with varying degrees of success.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, completing a dual major in Finance and Entrepreneurship.
